Rainpaw followed Willowstar, taking in every important detail of the area. The many scents flooding into his nostrils confused him, but soothed him at the same time. It was relaxing here. Mistpaw agreed as well. She enjoyed all the news smells and sounds. Both of them waited patiently for what would happen next.

Willowstar whispered to them "Try not to be very loud so you dont scare the fish" Then silently she creep up to the pool and splashed some water in it, to make it look as though bugs had landed on it. Sure enough two fish come near the surface, Motionging with her tail to come watch she flashed her paw in the water, scooping up the fish onto the land. Teetering close to the edge she almost fell in. With a silent sigh of relief she let the apprentices take over.

Rainpaw eagerly walked to the edge of the river. He looked into the water, and as a fish swam by he struck the water, sending a large splash. His paw emerged without a fish.
"You need to be more patient" Mistpaw mewed gently as she walked to the edge. She looked into the water. A brave fish swam out of its hiding place. Mistpaw watched it, waiting as stiff as stone. As the fish got closer to the edge she raised her paw and brought it down on the fish. She flung the fish out of the water, then pounced on the flopping fish to kill it.

"Wow" exclaimed Willowstar "that was really good!" when Willowstar was an apprentice it took her for what seemed like forever to finally catch her first fish, Mistpaw had talent. To Rainpaw she said "here, try again" her tail motioning over to another section of the pond.

Mistpaw purred at Willowstar's praise. This was one thing she was pretty good at.
Rainpaw nodded. He walked over to the edge and looked into the water. Patience... he told himself raising a paw. Again he swatted the water, but emerged with nothing. He sighed with disappointment. "That's hard" He mewed looking into the water "How'd you do it Mistpaw?" Mistpaw shrugged her shoulders.

Willowstar looked at Rainpaw, she felt sorry for him, when she hadnt been able to catch a fish and the others had she was disappointed. And it must be a little embarising to miss in front of his sister and the ckan leader. "Maybe this will help, I will show you" She crept over to the edge of the pond, careful that her shadow wasnt in the water. Waiting, finally a stillness came over the water. A medium sized fish came out of his hiding and swam uncertainly up to the surface. Turning around Willowstar whispered to Rainpaw to try this one.

Rainpaw slowly raised his paw. Quick as lightning her brought it down, scooping up the fish as well. He let out a pleased purr. "I did it!" He purred "Thanks Willowstar"
Mistpaw purred at her brother. He seemed really happy now that he got it.

"Thats great" yowled Willowstar "now we have four fish!, that is probably the most that FogClan has ever had at one time, we dont catch fish that often....maybe we should...." Alone in her thoughts she wondered if maybe the warriors should start training to catch fish since there was the posibility of the prey getting scarce, and with all of the excess water, it doesn't look like the fish were going anywhere.

Rainpaw purred and nodded his head. Blue eyes shining he again looked into the water. He saw plenty more fish. They would definitely have enough prey for a long time.
Mistpaw walked over to stand by Rainpaw. All those fish could probably feed the clan for moons to come! She felt her mouth watering just thinking about it.

"Well" said Willowstar recuctantly, unwanting to go "We should probably be heading back, it is getting late and we must get the fish back before flies come" she started to walk towards the fish "Each of us caught two so see if you can fit it in your mouth" Willowstar picked up her two fish, her mouth full of fish, well, there would be no talking on the way home she thought, putting them down she watched to see how the apprentices would handle it.

Rainpaw nodded sadly. He was having so much fun! Sighing he picked up one fish, then another. His teeth sank in so the slippery fish wouldn't slip out of his mouth.
Mistpaw gripped one fish, not as tightly, in her mouth. As she reached down to grab the other the first one slipped. She groaned and tried again, tightening her grip. This time she managed to grip it, and she walked over to Willowstar, waiting for orders.

Willowstar picked up her fish as well and motioned with her tail which way to go, they would have to be carefull not to talk because the fish would fall out onto the dirt. Then, it wouldnt taste as good. She leaded, going along the edge of the waterfall, the unwanted spray sprinkling her coat like diamonds. They began to sink in when she shook them off. Wishing she could smooth her pelt but not able to because of the fish.

Rainpaw enjoyed the drops from the waterfall. He loved the water, and had to work not to supress a purr and drop the fish. He, unlike Mistpaw, seemed to have webbed paws at times. Rainpaw loved to swim.
Mistpaw tried not to groan as they went under the waterfall. She hated getting wet, and continued shivering as the droplets sprayed onto her pelt. The small apprentice prayed they'd be out of there soon.

Once they were out of reach of the water splaying fall Willowstar began to padd faster along the paths until they were going at a fast trot. They passed throught most of the territory on the way back but since their mouths were full she wasnt able to show them much. Finally after a few minutes of silent walking they made it to the rocky entrance of the camp. She could hear the clan was busy in side, making preparations for the next big flood. The walls would have to be repaired and built stronger, the nursery would have to be raised with more twigs and leaves, maybe they could move it into a small cave, a few tail lengths up the side on the mountain. Either way, she knew that the cats working would be hungry.

Rainpaw stopped at the entrance to the camp. Looking inside he could see all the working cats. Rainpaw wasn't sure if he should go in and drop off the prey or wait. He couldn't ask thanks to the fish in his mouth.
Mistpaw waited about a rabbit-hop behind Rainpaw. Oh how depserately she wanted to shake the water droplets off her pelt, but she didn't want to risk dropping the fish.
