Willowstar was pelting down the space between where she was and the tree that Mistpaw was trapped under. She got ther equickly and Rainpaw was already there, defending his sister. Jumping in to help she faced the fox and hissed "Get out of here now!" Making one last lunge the fox began to retreat towards the border.

Rainpaw let out a gasp of relief as the fox left. He looked at Mistpaw. How would they get her out? Rainpaw walked over and grabbed a branch. He pulled, but nothing happened.

Willowstar turned around, thinking about how to face this new problem. "Are you Ok Mistypaw?" hopefuly nothing was broken, dealing with how to get the branch off was already enough trouble. Looking at the branch she saw a a weak spot in it. Maybe if we brake the branch it will be lighter and we can move it off easier. she thought.

Mistpaw nodded. She looked at the branch, fear in her eyes.
"C-Can you get it off?" She mewed pitifully, like a lost kit.
Rainpaw winced at his sister's condition. He looked at Willowstar with pleading eyes.
"What do we do?" He mewed.

"Well" she said thoughtfully, "if we brake this off the branch should be lighter and then we can push it off, or we can maybe dig underneath it..., I think that breaking the branch off will be safer though". I hope it will work she thought, if it doesnt...she wouldnt think of that, of course it would work, there was no reason that it wouldnt.

Rainpaw nodded. He wasn't sure exactly how to break it, but he would try. He started to claw it, but nothing happened. Mistpaw still had that pitiful look on her face.

Willowstar looked at the branch and also began to claw at it, slowly tearing away shaving of the tree. After a while it became even weaker but her claws were now to dull to scrape any of the tree off. She couldnt think of anything to do. "Are you still OK Mistypaw?" she asked. Willowstar herself was getting a little bit hungry from all of the work ahe had done.

Mistpaw nodded, fear stayed in her eyes. Rainpaw suddenly got an idea. Maybe... He reared up onto his hindlegs, and crashed onto the weakened branch. He heard a crack, but it didn't quite break yet.

"Hey!" Willowstar yowled, "that is a great idea!" immediately she forgot about her hunger and began repeating what Rainpaw had done, each time a louder crack came from the large branch. Suddenly tired, she took a break, doing it was pretty hard.

Rainpaw wouldn't give up. He reared up again, and the final crack was heard. The branch split into two, and Mistpaw was free.

"OK" said Willowstar, delighted at the prospect of catching fish, she hadnt ever gotten very good.... "Great, but we will have to go quickly because it will start to get dark in a little bit." She turned to lead them down the mountain I wonder if we should go in the cave behind the waterfall or in the river in the front she thought.

"Awesome!" Rainpaw mewed eagerly following Willowstar. The young apprentice was eager to serve his clan. He couldn't wait to become a warrior. Mistpaw followed, almost equally eager. She'd never been fishing before, and enjoyed the thought of it.

Decinding that behind the waterfall would be safer, sincer it was calmer and because the current leading under the waterfall. Once they got there Willowtsra breathed in the scents, it always smelled wonderfull under here. All the moss, fresh water, fish, dew, it was wonderfull.
