Lapblood walked through the field, her claws unshealthed as always. She heard a noise and saw a mouse nosing around in the grass. She leaped and landed on it, killing it, and usung her claws alittle more then necassary. She gulped it down and sat up. Looking around, she saw a flatish stone in the ground. She went over and started sharpening her claws on it.

Cinderpaw glared as the rogue walked along the border. This was clan territory! Cinderpaw's fur bristled and her claws unsheathed. Cinderpaw stepped out of the bushes, and let out a menacing snarl. "This is clan territory!" Cinderpaw hissed.

Lapblood looked up and dragged her claws across the stone with a harsh scratching noise, leaving white scratches across the stone. "Clan territory?" she looked around at the trees, "Really? Well then..." she stood up and stretched, first her back legs, then she stretched her front legs, flexing her claws. With a huge yawn she looked the cat over and snorted in humor. "All they send to protect their territory is a kit?" she smiled flashing her sharp teeth, "I have nothing to worry about then."

"Kit?!" Cinderpaw hissed "Why you little..." Her fur was bristling in the form of spikes now, eyes full of anger. She knew her brother, Rainpaw, would've clawed this cat then and there. But she was patient, and would remain patient.

"Little?" she said amused. She stood up at full hieght, looking down at the clan cat. "Who are you calling little?" She flashed her sharp teeth again in a snarl. "If you really want to fight, then..." she bunched her muscles to lunge, "Fight!". She sprang at the apprentice, claws unsheathed, front legs outstretched.

Cinderpaw tried to roll away but Lapblood's claws scraped across her shoulder. She fell to the ground, shoulder already bleeding. What did she get herself into? Cinderpaw stood up and unsheathed her long claws. She bunched her muscles and lunged for the cat.

Lapblood felt the warm blood on her claws. She turned and saw the cat lunge for her. She turned an instant to late and the cat's claws knicked her flank. Bot badly, but enough to bleed alittle. When the cat landed, she turned and aimed a hard blow at the cats head with her front paw.

Cinderpaw cried out in pain as the cat's paw hit her head. She felt dizzy. Her head started spinning. Cinderpaw staggered back to her feet, just to fall back down again. She laid there, pain throbbing through her head.

Lapblood flexed her claw and set it down an the dirt, she smiled cruely and walked away, back to the flat rock she had been at earlier. Again she started sharpening her claws. One at a time she dragged them across the stone. She looked over at the cat who was laying on the ground. She curled her tail around her paws and started to clean the blood off her paw.

Lapblood was unprepared for the attack. She tried to dodge but the clan cat caught her full on the shoulder, making her stagger back to keep her balance. "Don't you know when to quit!" she hissed and ran at full speed into the apprentice.

"I don't quit" Cinderpaw hissed. Cinderpaw dodged out of the way of Lapblood's attack. She stood a few fox-lengths away. Her eyes held determination as she held her ground. Cinderpaw's fur bristled, making her look twice her size. A feral snarl ripped at her throat.

The fur on Lapblood's spine stood up. She bared her teeth and let out a screech-like rogue snarl. With two leaping bounds she was only two tail lengths from the apprentice. Without loosing stride, she leaped at Cinderpaw, jumping high and aiming to land on the cat's back.

Cinderpaw fell to the ground as the cat landed on her back. She tried to squirm out from underneath the cat, but she couldn't move. This was not good...

Lapblood trapped the cat on her stomach. "You should have quit when you could." she growled. She brought her head back and bared her teeth preparing to bite down on the cat's neck.
Oakstar had heard some yowls and talking. She neared the clearing on the border. Looking through the under-bush, she saw Cinderpaw fighting with another cat. By the looks of the cat it was a rogue. Cinderpaw was trapped under the cat. "Cinderpaw!" she yelled, braking from the forest into the clearing, she unsheathed her claws and lunged at the cat.
Lapblood heard someone yell and she looked up. Before she could prepare, Oakstar knocked her off Cinderpaw. She hit the ground hard, the cat had pinned her down on her back.
Oakstar brought one paw up and slashed it across Lapblood's face, leaving four gashes across her face.
Lapblood yowled in pain and Oakstar stepped off her and turned to Cinderpaw. "Are you alright?" she asked.
